A Study on the Application of Experimental Curriculum to Nursing Education.

Abstract
Experimental curriculum has recently advanced greatly thinks to extensive university education in Korea.
The purpose of this study to help the optimal methods of quality nursing so as to improve present nursing education through investigations and analysis of¢¥7, various problems concerning experimental curriculum. The author has paid great attention to the experimental curriculum of its application to nursing education. This studies mainly through descriptive research and analysis problems of experimental curriculum to nursing education program.
The results obtained are summarized as follows
Problems :
1. Points of nursing major course credit is decreased.
2. Points of supportive science credit is decreased.
3. Mandatory second majoring system.
4. Electives are chosen mainly by the students
5. Nursing elective courses are opened every ether year.
6. Every courses uniformly carry 3 points of credit.
7. Besides above, problem on organizing the courses of instruction dates and times ; problem on transfer students and readmissing students ; problem on license of regular teacher within secondary school are seen frequently.
Suggestions :
1. Contents of education:
(D Increasing point requirement of the nursing major courses and the supportive sciences.
.t Either encouraging the seond majoring system (not mandatory) or not requiring the second majoring system.
Electives should limit to related fields.
2. Organizations of curriculum:
Principles of continuity, sequency and integration should apply as possible. 01 Make sequency to proper nursing education.
02 Nursing elective courses are opened every year.
G Fix the master plan for 4 year bases.
3. Educational method should be utilized to develop problem-solving skills and in ability of application, analysis and synthesis at various educational and clinical settings.
4. Clinical nursing education should help to develop creativity in nursing theories and kno,;,ledgies.
